All about…

Hello!

Welcome! My name is Ruth (that’s Meg on the left).

As a qualified Clay Conversations practitioner, I facilitate all sessions.

In addition to clay work, I am also a qualified play therapist, former infant school teacher, SENDCo and ceramicist.

My passion for using clay in the community began in 1997 with my BA Hons in Art and Social Context.

Connect with Clay

Connect with Clay aims to nurture creativity, support wellbeing and build community.

The focus of our sessions is on the creative process and personal choice, rather than making a particular end product.

Sessions are often informed by seasons and folklore, weaving a little extra magic into the clay.

Each session has a starting point or topic, but I encourage everyone to make whatever their hands want to - there is no wrong or right!

Firing the clay is always optional, so there’s no pressure to master techniques and you are free to creatively combine other materials if you wish (such as herbs and natural materials).

I am available to attend your school, centre or community space.

All sessions are tailored to ensure they are suitable for the age, ability and experience of the participants. Particular themes or focusses can be woven into activities.

All equipment is provided and each space is left clean and tidy, as found.
